Lukoil to launch oil residue refining unit at refinery in 2021

MOSCOW, Aug 29 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Lukoil plans to launch a facility to refine oil residues with an annual capacity of 2.1 million tonnes at its refinery Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez in 2021, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The facility would significantly cut production of fuel oil by Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, improve the refinery’s depth of refining to 95.5%, and raise output of light oil products to 76% from 64%, Lukoil said.
